All about your treatment

  • Inform your therapist of any medical conditions
  • Notify your therapist for contraindication like varicose veins, recent open wounds, skin lacerations etc
  • Avoid having a heavy meal and if you need food, a snack will be encouraged along with consumption of water or an isotonic drink
  • Avoid painkillers or non crucial meds 2 hrs prior to therapy for more body responsiveness
  • After therapy, rehydrate to help flush out toxins avoid alcohol for your body to recover steadily
  • Have adequate rest and minimize your training intensity or completely rest for a day or two

Consistent sports therapy can offer very positive results for chronic issues and painful conditions. We will be able to recommend the best therapy options to help with your concern in the shortest possible time.  It’s important to note that a single session may not completely fix or reverse a chronic condition and neither will you gain recovery if the sessions are spread too far apart. In fact you even might lose the initial recovery effects.

Yes. The most common condition among athletes is that of an acute injury or inflammation. Usually the first 72 hours after an injury is the acute stage. After the swelling and pain begin to diminish, therapy is recommended. As a rule of thumb always consult a doctor first if you are experiencing intense pain and/or unable to mobilize yourself.

All therapy work is discouraged for contagious skin conditions. Other conditions to avoid include: acute sunburn, acute skin lesions, open sores, pustules, infectious rashes, skin conditions which can spread through blood stream.

We provide you with disposable wear but you can also bring along your own sports shorts and strapless or spaghetti strap top for ladies. Ladies will be attended by female sports therapists / gentlemen by either male or female sports therapists.

If you are uncertain of your condition, it will be in your best interest to seek a professional opinion but we will still provide the initial assessment and help identify the concern or existing medical issues must be made known to your therapist prior to starting a session. Medical Consent is required if you have recently undergone surgery, chemotherapy, health issues on close monitor and/or on special medications.

Yes. Sports therapy is proven to reduce recovery time accelerating your injuries to heal, and can produce pleasing results. Sports therapy deals with swelling and edema associated with soft tissue injuries and helps with formation of healthy scarred tissue. Range of motion will be normalized during the process and greatly reduce chance of a re-injury.

You may wish to check with your insurer of your policy coverage. However, we can provide you with a invoice for your own usage to your insurance provider for reimbursement purpose.

Kindly notify us 12 hours in advance to avoid charges for the booked session if you are unable to come. You are welcome to reschedule for the same day or an alternative day when both therapist and therapy facility is available. The standard therapy charges will still apply if you missed or late for the appointment. We seek your co-operation as there may be people on the wait list who might need therapy urgently.
